Karina Brez earned her Graduate Diamonds Diploma from Gemological Institute of America in 2007, and continued her education to become a Graduate Gemologist in 2012. Karina is a Member at National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. One of the youngest to ever join. She believed that in starting her own practice, she could be more effective in helping people with a variety of appraisals and to allow her to be an entrepreneurial self, as she always was. When Karina was just about 6 years old, she started to sell worms to local fisherman on Lantana Beach. One day she realized that if she cut the worms in half she could double her profits and that entrepreneurial spirit was born. Growing up in a jewelry family business she learned how to sell since at a very young age. Coming to her parents store after school and on the weekends was a regular routine for her. After Graduating High School at Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts she accepted a managing position at Alex Jewelry in the Wellington Green Mall. Working 70+ hours a week for the next two years. Within that time she doubled profits and tripled profits in season, as a result of her marketing, knowledge, and client relationship.

In 2010, Brez founded Palm Beach Gemologist and since then, she has appraised numerous articles of jewelry and watches for high-profile clients in several states. Palm Beach Gemologist has allowed Karina to fully realize her passion for helping people at all levels of appraising while treats every client with respect and integrity. Her hobbies include traveling, horseback riding, marine biology and volunteering at a local charity. Horses Healing Hearts, a local Palm Beach County charity that helps children raised with addiction in their home by working with horses. Being their Ambassador and Honorary Chair she had raised over hundreds of thousands of dollars and is currently serving on the fundraising committee and Board.
While Karina balances gemology and a charity she holds the title of Miss Florida USA 2012.
